Vijayasena

Vijayasena
(?-1108)
A Kanara by origin, Vijayasena (grandson of Samantasena) established a small principality in southwest Bengal around 1095 and ruled until 1108. Taking advantage of the growing weakness of the Pala rule, Vijayasena consolidated and extended his principality, which came to control a vast territory.
